John Rush's performance was great! It was the longest we've seen the room stay full during the lunch break. We definitely would like to have him come back in September. I just haven't had a chance to email you yet. Please let me know what dates he is available.

Just so you know, John Rush was amazing. He was undoubtedly the easiest artist to work with I have ever had. He used his own sound and lighting, and set and took it down pretty much by himself. No rider requirements besides a hotel? Even local talent we hire ask for more than that! The show ended up going very well. It started out sluggish, however. Most of Elon was at the football game, which did not end until about ten minutes into his show. At this point, there were only two viewers that were not programming affiliated. The room John was playing in has many windows that overlooked much of the crowd leaving the game. We propped open a door and John said something like "I guess I should play something loud to get people's attention." It was the largest crowd I've seen at Saturday Night Live, our weekly show. He was our most expensive Saturday Night Live act of the semester, including full touring bands. But to his defense, he was incredibly easy to please, fun to work with, brought in a huge crowd, and everyone thought he was just amazing. It was nice to work with a rock star that didn't act like one! We'll see you at NACA!

"The students greatly enjoyed John at the Loop. Rakesh, the student who planned the event, also stated "John was very professional and courteous. We might want to consider him for future events in Lincoln Park." The attendance was a little lower than expected, which may have been due to students being in the study mode for finals.
